What you can expect from "Unmasked"

Unmasked is a powerful, honest, and relational group experience for women who want to show up more fully and authentically.

You will be part of a small, carefully facilitated group that prioritises emotional safety, respectful listening, and genuine connection. The group offers a contained space where your story is welcomed, your boundaries are respected, and your voice matters.

You are invited to work at your own pace, with choice, consent, and care. There is no pressure to perform, please, or fix yourself. Instead, Unmasked supports you to explore what it means to be real — with yourself and with others.

Within the group, you can expect:

  • Clear agreements around confidentiality, boundaries, and emotional safety

  • Opportunities to speak and to be heard without judgement

  • Honest, compassionate communication and highly attuned listening

  • Space to express a full range of emotions, including anger, grief, fear, sadness, and joy

  • Gentle exploration of identity, patterns, and what matters to you beneath roles and expectations

Through active listening and reflective dialogue, you will be witnessed by others and learn how to listen in return — without rescuing, advising, or minimising.

Unmasked focuses on building courage and self-trust, helping you develop greater emotional confidence, clarity, and connection. The group setting offers something individual work cannot: the shared insight, resonance, and reassurance that comes from being alongside others who understand.

In this supportive and respectful space, many women discover they are not alone — and that being unmasked is not about exposure, but about coming home to themselves.

Benefits of Therapeutic Group work include:

  • Shared experiences and mutual support
  • Learning from others facing similar challenges
  • Cost-effective way to access professional coaching
  • Built-in accountability from group members
  • Diverse perspectives on common issues
  • Safe space to practice new skills and approaches
  • Many clients find that breakthroughs happen in groups because they're inspired by others' progress and motivated by the collective energy.

Therapeutic Approach to Group Work

Combining group coaching with therapeutic understanding creates deeper, more meaningful conversations and connections.

Brighton Community Connection

What to Expect in Group Sessions

Small, Intimate Groups

Groups are intentionally kept small (typically 6-8 participants) to ensure everyone has space to share and be heard.

Structured Yet Flexible

Each session follows a clear structure while remaining responsive to the group's needs and energy on the day.

Mix of Activities

The sessions may include:

  • Group discussions and sharing circles
  • Individual reflection time
  • Practical exercises and tools
  • Creative activities when appropriate
  • Goal-setting and action planning
  • Peer support and encouragement

Professional Facilitation

As an experienced therapeutic coach, I guide conversations, ensure everyone feels included, and provide professional insights while allowing the group's wisdom to emerge.

Safe, Confidential Environment

What's shared in the group stays in the group. All participants agree to confidentiality and mutual respect.

Important information

Unmasked is a therapeutic group experience and is not a substitute for individual counselling, psychotherapy, or crisis support. The group may not be suitable for those currently experiencing acute mental health difficulties or requiring intensive therapeutic intervention.

Participation is subject to an initial conversation to ensure the group is appropriate and supportive for all members.

What Clients Say About Working With Jane

The best way to understand the impact of therapeutic coaching is through others' experiences:

I’ve just found each session has allowed me to more deeply accept myself

I have an overwhelming full body emptiness after every session. My mind feels peaceful, and my heart feels open. Jane is very non-judgemental, and this allowed me to be my complete self. Each session has helped me to accept myself more fully.

Aurora

Without Jane’s support and without the respect that she gave me and the understanding, you know I really felt understood, without any of that I wouldn’t be in a job today.

I’m literally doing these things daily now. I’m doing things that I’ve never done before and none of that would have been possible without Jane and I’m very grateful for her support

Michelle

My sessions were great. A lot of things we talked through were things that have been going around in my head, but the tools you have given me helped me to clarify that really helped.

Emma , June 2024

She helped to calmly guide me through a number of topics, allowing me to untangle and re-frame issues - leaving me feeling much lighter and more positive in my outlook.

Tom , April 2024

She is fantastic at adapting sessions to suit your personal needs and provides individual support that aligns with you perfectly.

Olivia , March 2023

Group Coaching FAQs

How many people are in each group?
Groups are intentionally kept small, typically 6-8 participants, to ensure everyone has adequate time to share and be heard while maintaining an intimate, supportive environment.
What if I'm shy or don't like speaking in groups?
Many participants start feeling nervous about group sharing. I create a safe environment where you can participate at your comfort level. There's never pressure to share more than you want to, and many shy participants find their confidence grows throughout the programme.
How do you ensure confidentiality in groups?
All group members agree to strict confidentiality guidelines before starting. What's shared in the group stays in the group. This creates a safe container for honest, meaningful conversations.
What's the difference between group and individual coaching?
Group coaching offers peer support, diverse perspectives, and shared learning that individual sessions cannot provide. However, you'll have less individual attention. Many clients combine both formats for maximum benefit.
How long do group programmes run?
Most programmes run for 4-6 sessions over several weeks or months. The exact length depends on the specific programme focus and group needs.
Can I join a group if I've never had coaching before?
Absolutely! Group coaching can be an excellent introduction to coaching. The supportive environment often helps newcomers feel more comfortable than they might in individual sessions.
What happens if I miss a session?
Life happens, and occasional absences are understood. I'll provide catch-up materials and brief individual check-ins if needed to help you stay connected with the group's progress.
