Why work with me?

Your staff may need more than conventional coaching or a counselling service. Therapeutic coaching provides a confidential space to explore the psychological factors beneath workplace difficulties, while developing practical strategies for moving forward. I have over 23 years experience as a senior leader in several large international organisations and I understand the difficulties.

For organisations, this means supporting the people you want to retain, helping employees navigate periods of difficulty and change before they become a reason to leave. By investing in their wellbeing and development, organisations can support retention, sustain performance and create a healthier working environment.

Supporting Leaders

Leaders face particular pressures: responsibility for others, complex decisions, organisational expectations and the need to remain composed while managing significant personal or professional challenges.

Therapeutic coaching provides leaders with a confidential space to step back, reflect and gain greater clarity, while developing practical ways to navigate challenges and lead effectively.

We offer specialist support with difficulties such as:

  • Burnout, stress and overwhelm – supporting people to understand the factors contributing to stress and overwhelm, develop healthier boundaries and find sustainable ways of managing pressure.
  • Workplace relationships – exploring difficult relationships, conflict and recurring interpersonal patterns.
  • Career and leadership transitions – including promotion, increased responsibility, career uncertainty and organisational change.
  • Feeling stuck or disconnected – feeling unclear about direction, motivation or future planning, while continuing to function day to day.
  • Confidence and boundaries – including perfectionism, people-pleasing, over-responsibility and difficulty asserting needs.
  • Loss and grief – including bereavement, relationship breakdown, redundancy and loss of identity.

The Approach

Therapeutic coaching combines psychological insight with practical coaching. It helps people understand what is happening beneath the surface, explore the experiences, beliefs and behaviours influencing how they respond, and identify clear goals and practical ways forward.

Sessions are collaborative, confidential and goal-focused, providing space to explore difficulties while developing strategies for meaningful change.

This approach can support a wide range of personal and professional challenges.

Specialist Therapeutic Coaching Support FAQs

How effective are online sessions compared to in-person meetings?
Research shows that online therapeutic sessions can be just as effective as in-person meetings when conducted by a skilled practitioner. Many clients find they can be more open and relaxed in their own environment.
What technology do I need for online sessions?
You'll need a device with a camera and microphone (laptop, tablet, or smartphone), stable internet connection, and a quiet private space. I'll provide technical support to help you get set up.
Are online sessions confidential?
Absolutely. We use secure, encrypted video platforms that comply with UK data protection laws. Everything discussed remains completely confidential, following the same professional standards as in-person sessions.
What if I have technical problems during a session?
I always have backup communication methods ready (phone, alternative video platform). If we lose connection, we'll reconnect quickly and continue. Technical issues don't reduce your session time.
Can I switch between online and in-person sessions?
If you're in the Brighton area, we can discuss a hybrid approach combining both formats. This works well for clients who travel or have varying schedules.
How do I pay for online sessions?
Payment can be made securely online via bank transfer or digital payment methods. I'll send you payment details and receipts after each session or package purchase.
What if online sessions don't feel right for me?
We can discuss this during your discovery call or first session. Some people do prefer in-person meetings, and I can refer you to local practitioners in your area if online sessions aren't the right fit.
Do you offer sessions outside normal working hours?
Yes, I offer some evening and weekend slots to accommodate different schedules and time zones across the UK. Availability varies, so it's best to discuss your preferred times when booking.
